✅ Permitted on personal devices
- On-demand streaming services
- Such as Netflix, YouTube, or Amazon Prime (non-live content only).
- General internet use
- Email, web browsing, and personal messages.
❌ Not permitted on practice premises or practice Wi-Fi
- Live television
- Watching or streaming television programmes as they are broadcast live on any channel.
- BBC iPlayer
- Use of BBC iPlayer (live or on-demand)
Why this policy is in place?
Under UK law, a TV licence is required to watch or record live television or to use BBC iPlayer.
The practice does not hold a TV licence and therefore must restrict such use on its premises and networks.
